1) Introduce yourself!
Hi everyone. My name is Debbie and I consider myself to be both an illustrator and a writer as I illustrate and write for my novel series "Rogues".
2) Why do you do what you do?
I started to draw since I was little. I initially wanted to be an artist so I kept drawing and perfecting my craft. I am also passionate on writing stories such as "Rogues".
3) Who or what inspires you?
My main art inspirations are RPG / MMORPG games I played in the past like Dragon Nest, Fate/Grand Order and recently, Genshin Impact and Final Fantasy XXIV. A few more inspirations include luxury fashion brands such as Dior and Alexander Mcqueen, and fashion designers like the late Karl Lagerfeld. I mix my love for RPG games with fashion brands.
4) How is your experience being a creator in Singapore?
Being a creator with a small following is very tough in terms of getting exposure and expressing my art style, especially during the pandemic and the current Instagram Algorithm.
5) What do you wish would happen in Singapore to help creators?
I hope for more conventions where the goal is to promote small creators like me, and I also hope to open my own booth selling my own future merch and an upcoming artbook.
6) What are your goals?
My goals now are to finish "Rogues" Season 2 soon and to create more artwork so I can proceed to doing my artbook!
